Theory, policy and practice perspectives from Royal Holloway

About us

This blog is written by Royal Holloway staff and students working in the field of sustainability. Sustainability is a highly contested concept, requiring an understanding of how societies and environments operate and the inter-relationships between nature and human activities. Development, climate change, wealth creation, environmental conservation and human wellbeing are some of the themes which our sustainability research addresses. Sustainability is one of Royal Holloway’s research themes and is at the heart of departmental and inter-disciplinary research and teaching including the Centre for Research into Sustainability (CRIS), the Department of Geography’s Politics, Development and Sustainability (PDS) group and the ICT4D Centre.

Royal Holloway’s sustainability researchers will be using this blog to highlight their work, as well as commenting on sustainability issues more generally.
